This charming Mediterranean spot in Sausalito has all of the traditional standards- fattoush salad, falafel sandwich, etc…but they also include an Impossible meatball plate as a special nod to the vegans. The food is decent, but the prices are a bit steep. This could be inflation or the fact that they are located on a prime stretch in pricey Sausalito.

We ordered the falafel sandwich plate, which is $17 and comes with fries. We felt a bit short-changed when there were only three small falafel balls in the sandwich. The fattoush salad had crunchy Little Gem lettuce but arrived under-dressed, so we had to ask for extra dressing on the side.

Overall- Zalta has vegan options called out on the menu which is great- but I won’t go running back soon.
